JUNIOR SQUAD PROGRAM |16-19 YEARS
Welcome to the Junior Squad of the Kronos Triathlon Club for the 2024/2025 season! This program is tailored for athletes aged 16 to 19 who are committed to excelling in draft-legal short course racing. Here’s the essential information you need for this season’s Junior Squad.
WHO IS THE PROGRAM FOR
This program is ideal for athletes aged 16 to 19 who are focused on advancing their skills in draft-legal short course triathlon races. It’s designed for those who have experience in triathlon and are looking to elevate their performance under professional guidance.
PREREQUISITES
Athletes must meet one of the following performance criteria before applying:
Males: 200m Swim under 3:00 OR 1500m Run under 5:30.
Females: 200m Swim under 3:15 OR 1500m Run under 6:00.
Note: Athletes without prior triathlon experience can start in the Development Squad and may transition to the Junior Squad as their skills advance.

Indoor Season:
Monday: Indoor Run 5-6:15PM & Strength and Conditioning 6:15-7:15PM @ MNP
Tuesday: Swim 7-8AM @ MNP
Wednesday: Indoor Bike 4:45-6:00PM @ MNP
Thursday: Swim 7-8AM @ MNP & Strength and Conditioning 7-8PM @ TBD
Friday: Swim 6:30-8:00AM @ MNP
Sunday: Swim 4:30-6:00PM @ MNP
Outdoor Season:
Tuesday: Swim 7-8AM @ MNP & Outdoor Run 5:30-6:45PM @ North Glenmore Park Lot B
Wednesday: Advanced Cycling 5:30-7:00PM @ Springbank Area
Thursday: Swim 7-8AM @ MNP & Intermediate Cycling 5:30-7:00PM @ North Glenmore Park Lot B
Friday: Swim 6:30-8:00AM @ MNP
Sunday: Swim 4:30-6:00PM @ MNP (May – June only)
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
Enrollment in this program requires approval from both the Performance Coach and Head Coach. This ensures that all athletes are adequately prepared for the rigorous training and competitive demands of the program.
