VOLUNTEERS SIGN UP FOR 2024/25

Every great event, every successful season, and every athlete’s achievement is made possible by the dedication and teamwork of our members. Volunteering is a vital part of this shared effort, and we’re excited to partner with you to make this season our best yet.

Why Volunteering Matters

Volunteering isn’t just about fulfilling a requirement—it’s an essential part of what makes Kronos a thriving community. Here’s why it’s so important:

  • Supporting Coaches: Your help with event logistics allows our coaches to focus on training and guiding athletes.

  • Successful Events: Volunteers ensure our races, team travel, camps, socials, and programs run seamlessly, creating memorable experiences for everyone involved.

  • Promoting the Club and Sport: Your efforts showcase the best of Kronos and triathlon and encourage others to join the club or try the sport.

  • Building Community: Volunteering fosters connections with fellow members, local businesses, and our broader community.

Your Volunteer Commitment

Each member is required to complete 150 volunteer points during the season to help ensure the club's success. Volunteer tasks are available on our KRONOS VOLUNTEER PLATFORM platform and are assigned points based on their commitment level:

  • 25 Points: Quick, simple tasks (e.g., setup or cleanup for an event).

  • 50 Points: Medium-level roles (e.g., assisting at aid stations or handing out race kits).

  • 75 Points: Key positions (e.g., marshaling or coordinating sections of events).

  • 100 Points: Leadership or high-commitment roles (e.g., being a lead volunteer, race director or event coordinator).

Volunteer Bond Policy

To reinforce the importance of volunteering, the club collected a $300 volunteer bond at the start of the season. This bond is fully refundable at the end of the season if you meet your 150-point requirement.

Please note: This is an all-or-nothing commitment. If you only achieve, for example, 125 points, you will forfeit your bond. We strongly encourage you to start early and make steady progress toward your goal to ensure you meet the requirement.

How will your volunteer hours be tracked?

At the beginning of each event, the volunteer coordinator will take attendance and record your participation. Your completed volunteer hours will then be added to the system.

Getting Started with Kronos Volunteer Platform

The Kronos Volunteer platform makes it easy to find the right volunteer opportunities for you. The system is very intuitive, but we’ve also attached step-by-step instructions to guide you through how to sign up and volunteer for a need.  Follow these simple steps to get started:

  • Navigate to the KRONOS VOLUNTEER PLATFORM

  • Create a profile by clicking the "Sign Up" button.

  • Browse the list of volunteer opportunities and their associated points.
