Owen TurneR

Owen is thrilled to join the Kronos coaching team this year. As a long-time member of the Kronos Triathlon Club, he has been part of the club for around 11 years, competing in local, provincial, and national races.

Owen developed a passion for triathlon and training after participating in his first race in 2014 at just 6 years old. As a dedicated performance athlete, he is eager to share his enthusiasm for the sport with young athletes.

Some of his notable athletic accomplishments include competing in the Alberta Summer Games in 2023 and winning gold medals at both the Youth Provincial and Sprint Provincial Championships.

In addition to coaching triathletes, Owen is a lifeguard, swim instructor, and the senior trainer for his high school football team. He is looking forward to working with Kronos athletes this season.

Would you like to know a bit more about Noam? Check out her take on three personal questions!

What’s the one snack you always bring to race day?

I always bring energy gels to every race as they are a quick boost to get me race-ready.

If you could host a triathlon anywhere in the world, where would it be and what unique twist would you add to the event?

I would host the race in New Zealand, and the twist would be that the race would be done starting with the run, then the swim and finishing with the bike.

If you could choose a superhero to join our coaching team, who would it be and why?

Aquaman, because he is a really fast swimmer and could help coach the club on the best ways to improve your swimming abilities.
